Northeast Region – PA, NJ, CT, MA, DE & NY

Century Mechanical Holdings is seeking an experienced Northeast Regional Manager to oversee the financial and operational performance of multiple operating companies throughout the Northeast.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving revenue, profitability, operational performance, and consistent execution across multiple locations. The Regional Manager will have full P&L accountability, lead and develop General Managers, and ensure company standards and processes are consistently followed throughout the region.

The ideal candidate will have extensive leadership experience within HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, or skilled trades, strong financial and operational knowledge, and experience managing multiple locations within a growing organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to:
  • Oversee the financial and operational performance of assigned operating companies throughout the Northeast.
  • Own regional and location-level revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, working capital, and overall P&L performance.
  • Lead, coach, develop, and hold General Managers accountable for operational and financial performance.
  • Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain General Managers and other key leadership positions.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and address underperformance through documented action plans.
  • Review location P&Ls, identify performance issues and trends, and implement corrective action plans.
  • Drive field productivity, labor management, job costing, gross margin, and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee residential and commercial HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical service, replacement, installation, and maintenance operations.
  • Standardize scheduling, dispatching, quoting, warranty, and operational processes across locations.
  • Manage staffing plans and support recruiting for technicians, installers, dispatchers, service managers, and leadership positions.
  • Oversee field labor, fleet, inventory, tools, and location-level operating expenses.
  • Monitor accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, and overall working capital performance.
  • Ensure accurate job costing and expense coding across assigned locations.
  • Ensure compliance with contractor licensing, permitting, safety, fleet, DOT, and employment requirements throughout the region.
  • Monitor customer service performance, callbacks, warranties, and major customer escalations.
  • Ensure all locations provide accurate and timely weekly and monthly operational reporting.
  • Provide regional performance reporting to executive leadership, including financial performance, staffing, accounts receivable, safety, and operational risks.
  • Support revenue growth through maintenance agreements, commercial account development, pricing discipline, and operational improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, profitability, customer satisfaction, and overall location performance.
  • Support acquisition opportunities and lead the operational integration of newly acquired companies, including systems conversion, reporting alignment, leadership assessment, and implementation of company standards.
  • Travel regularly throughout the Northeast and maintain a strong understanding of the day-to-day operations and performance of each assigned location.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of progressive operations leadership within HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, skilled trades, or a similar field service business.
  • Proven experience overseeing multiple locations across multiple markets or states.
  • Experience directly managing and developing General Managers or location-level leaders.
  • Strong P&L ownership with demonstrated experience managing revenue, EBITDA, gross margin, labor, job costing, and working capital.
  • Experience improving or turning around underperforming locations.
  • Strong understanding of field operations, including labor productivity, staffing, service, installation, dispatching, and customer service.
  • Hands-on ServiceTitan experience required, including dispatch and capacity boards, job costing, memberships, price book management, technician performance, invoicing, payments, and reporting.
  • Strong financial and operational reporting skills.
  • Private equity-backed or multi-acquisition platform experience.
  • Experience with the operational integration of newly acquired businesses.
  • HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical field experience, trade license, or technical certification.
  • Familiarity with contractor licensing, permitting, and employment requirements throughout the Northeast.
  • Valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 60% throughout the Northeast, including regular overnight travel.
 Preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position works in a combination of office, vehicle, and jobsite environments. Regular travel throughout the Northeast is required and may include frequent overnight stays.
Jobsite visits may include mechanical rooms, attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, outdoor environments, and active construction sites.
The position may require climbing stairs or ladders, walking on uneven surfaces, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.
Availability outside normal business hours may be required during peak seasons or operational emergencies.

Compensation: $160,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
